Impact of Interactive Multimedia on Client-Server Performance

چکیده
This work describes a simulation study of client-server architectures, and a UNIX-based le system with multimedia extensions. An interactive multime-dia workload is used to compare the throughput and scalability of the traditional and a new hybrid client-server architecture. Simulation results indicate that the hybrid client-server, combined with the multime-dia le system, is a promising distributed architecture for interactive multimedia.
